Terms of use

space.cricket and the space cricket app for iPhone and Apple Watch. Effective 2026-09-26.

By playing space.cricket you agree to these terms. If you use the iPhone app, Apple's standard licence terms for App Store apps also apply.

Playing

• The game is free to play. You can play without an account, or sign in to keep your pilots across devices.
• You must be 13 or older to play.
• Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on your account.

Chat and names

• Be decent to other players. No harassment, hate, threats, sexual content, spam, or sharing other people's personal details.
• Do not impersonate other players or us, and do not pick a pilot name that breaks these rules.
• Chat and names pass through a word filter, and it will miss things. We may remove names, messages or accounts that break these rules, without notice.
• To report or block a player in the game, open Chat and tap the flag beside their line, or tap their name on the PILOTS tab, then choose Report or Block. Block hides them from you at once. You can also email mjohnson@thermist.com with their pilot name.

Fair play

• Do not cheat, exploit bugs on purpose, attack or overload the servers, or use tools that play for you in races.
• We may reset scores, race results or progress that came from cheating or a bug.

Purchases

• The shop sells paint coats for your ship. They are cosmetic only. They change how your ship looks and nothing else.
• Coats belong to your account. Buying one needs you to sign in.
• Purchases are final and not refundable, except where the law requires a refund or under Apple's refund policy for purchases made in the App Store. Refunds for App Store purchases are requested from Apple.
• In-game credits (shown as ₡) have no real-money value and cannot be bought, sold or cashed out.

The game changes

• space.cricket is a living game. We change it often, and we may rebalance it, change or remove features, or reset the world, including credits, cargo, stations and progress.
• Coats you bought stay yours through a world reset for as long as we run the shop.
• We may stop running the game. If we do, we will say so in the game ahead of time where we can.

No warranty

The game is provided as it is. We do our best to keep it running, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of bugs. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost progress or other losses from using the game.
